I haven’t written a new blog post in two weeks now. There’s a number of reasons really, the main ones being busy with work and dealing with personal issues.
People come and people go. That’s just how life is.
Something I’ve been learning to deal with as of late is being alone. Both physically and emotionally. I’ve always been a quiet and introverted person. But I guess its when there’s no one around that you crave the presence of others.
I’ve had friends and family move away due to work or school, friends who you just fall apart with – heck, my parents leaving me home alone while they go on vacation leaves me lonely. Whether its longterm or temporary, everyone is on the move. And then there’s the part when you find yourself unexpectedly single again… but I won’t get into that. All I’ll share on that issue is that I’m beginning to learn that you won’t always get back the same love that you give to others. Unfortunately the world is unfair that way.
But life goes on and you learn to deal.
So what do I do to destress and keep myself occupied? Here are my top things I like to do when I’m home alone:
- cross stitch
- read – currently on book 8 of A Series of Unfortunate Events
- watch Netflix – I just started watching the show adaptation of 13 Reasons Why, and I love it!
- take care of my skin – face masks and Biore nose strips all the way
- clean the house
- start planning for the future, because I know I certainly need some exciting things to look forward to
It’s April now, meaning I have 6 months left of being 25. I plan to make the most of it.
In terms of the blog, later in the week I’ll be sharing an update of how I did this past month. I don’t believe that I passed all the goals I had set, since I was MIA the past two weeks. But this will only push me to work harder this month. I plan to get back in the mindset of keeping this blog a priority.
Anyways, enough of the seriousness. I like being able to use this blog as an outlet – I mean what else would it be used for? This month I have some fun posts planned!
